During a nearly thirty year illustration career, Robert Hunt’s work has appeared on the covers of books by many of the worlds leading authors including John LeCarre, Arthur C. Clarke, Steven King, and S.E. Hinton.  He has created illustrations for a wide variety of special projects including the Dreamworks logo, (the model for the “Boy on the Moon” is his son, William), children’s picture books, annual reports, advertisements and magazine illustrations. His work has appeared in publications worldwide and won numerous awards.

Parallel to his illustration career, he created  personal artworks, many of which are in private collections,  but now has turned to creating artwork that is available to the public. His objective is to capture the natural atmosphere of his subjects, in paintings that reflect the energy used in their creation.

He also is a Senior Adjunct Professor at the California College of the Arts (Formerly CCAC.) He lives and works in San Anselmo, California, with his wife Lynn, and their two children.
